This course will be based on a series of lecture notes which will be posted regularly throughout the semester. There is also a course reader which you can download from bcourses.

You may find the following references useful for background reading. A copy of the classic Gray/Meyer or the updated Hurst/Lewis is indispensible and highly recommended.
